Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to Chengdu: train, bus or taxi
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (成都双流国际机场, CTU) is about 16-20 km southwest of the center. Here are the airport train, metro, buses, taxis and Didi into the city, with fares, hours and how to pay with a foreign card.
Short answer: Take Metro Line 10 to Taipingyuan and change to Line 3 for Chunxi Road, or take a taxi, which is cheap from here.
Terminals: T1 and T2. Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan flights only: four routes with about 120 flights a week from T1 since July 30, 2026 (Air China, Sichuan Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, Cathay, Air Macau, EVA Air, China Airlines). No other international flights use Shuangliu; they all use Tianfu.
Ways into Chengdu

At T1 the station is in the T1 parking lot outside Exit 04 on the arrivals level; at T2 it's on level B2.

Stops are about 60 m south of Exit 6 at T1 and at Stand 4 outside Exit 15 at T2. The airport lists departures every 40-70 minutes; this is the departure interval, not the journey time
Tips for CTU
- Shuangliu is close to town, so a taxi is a good choice if you have bags.
- Check your ticket for the airport: Chengdu has two, about 50 km apart.
- Line 19 leaves from Shuangliu T2 East station (B2 level) for Tianfu Airport, about 30 minutes direct.
