Xiamen Gaoqi Airport to Xiamen: train, bus or taxi

Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN) is on Xiamen Island, roughly 10-15 km north of Zhongshan Road and the ferry piers. Here are the airport train, metro, buses, taxis and Didi into the city, with fares, hours and how to pay with a foreign card.
Short answer: There is no metro to the airport, so take a taxi (about 20-30 minutes) or the airport express bus into town.
Terminals: T3 and T4, about 2 km apart, linked by a free shuttle bus. International flights use T3; T4 is domestic only. Check your ticket for the terminal.

Tips for XMN
- Xiamen's new Xiang'an airport is expected to open at the end of 2026, with Gaoqi closing at the same time. The exact date has not been officially announced; check the airport on your ticket for travel near the changeover
- Xiang'an (翔安) is far from the island on the mainland side, so getting to town from there will be different.
- Check your terminal: T3 and T4 are about 2 km apart.
