Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (西安咸阳国际机场, XIY) is about 35 km northwest of the Bell Tower. Here are the airport train, metro, buses, taxis and Didi into the city, with fares, hours and how to pay with a foreign card.

Short answer: Take Metro Line 14 to Xi'an North Railway Station, then change to Line 2 for the Bell Tower; or take the airport bus.

Terminals: T2, T3 and T5 (T5 opened in February 2025). All international, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan flights use T5.

Tips for XIY

Line 14 has two airport stations: Airport (T5) and Airport West (T1/T2/T3). Get on at the right one.
Line 14 doesn't reach the old city; you always change at Xi'an North Railway Station.
There's no SIM counter in arrivals, so set up an eSIM before you land.
